Sarah Rose

UPDATE: 1-6-05
I was finally able to leave the hospital today for a little while, to open a Benefit Fund Account for Sarah, as was recommended by April. Please forward this email on to everyone on your prayer chains - thank you!
We are asking only that each family prayerfully consider what the Lord would lead them to give as a gift of love to help with Sarah's care. The information is as follows:
Sarah Rose Stirling Benefit Fund
Account # 1868030064
TCF Bank
200 25th Ave
St. Cloud, MN 56301
The bank manager is Cory at: 320-253-5693 (if you would prefer to do a direct deposit into her account from a different bank - I know this can be done as well, but I don't know the specific details as to how). I was told that any TCF Bank should be able to pull up the account, and the monetary gift can be deposited at any TCF Bank.
Otherwise, if you would prefer to send your gift of love to our home, our address is:
Rik and Diane Stirling
15525 Grover Ave NW
Clearwater, MN 55320-2142
Sarah is critical, yet stable. She still needs to figure out how to reroute
her electrical pulses in her heart - they said it is like her heart is going
the country route, and she needs to learn to send the signals the freeway route. She
is scheduled to have her chest closed on Friday, at 1:45 pm. On Saturday they
will try to start her on breastmilk feedings again. Her bilirubin is now at
6.1 total, which means that her liver is functioning - PRAISE THE LORD for
everything!!!! We continue to pray for His healing touch on her whole body that everything will line up properly, function perfectly, and that the extra 18th chromosome will be ''null and void'' in her precious body!
MUCH CONTINUED PRAYERS ARE NEEDED! PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS FAITHFULLNESS IN ALL HE HAS DONE IN SARAH'S LIFE THUS FAR!
May the Lord continue to bless ALL of you for your faithfullness in praying for Sarah!
Diane

UPDATE: 1-5-06
Hi all! Sarah's update today is that her oxygen, blood pressure and
biliruben are doing well! She is continuing to be kept at below her normal
body temperature because her heart just doesn't function quite right when
they have warmed her up. They are also keeping her sedated so her body can
focus on healing. They are also praying that the electrical impulses in her
heart get all figured out from the surgery so that her heart will begin
beating normal without the drugs. As long as the swelling continues to go
down, she doesn't have any bleeding or infection and she remains stable she
will have her incision closed at 1:45 tomorrow. AND if things continue to
go well they will start giving her breast milk starting on Saturday and get
her digestive system working again. So, she is doing pretty well and Diane
is grateful for all your prayers!
April

UPDATE: 1-4-06
An update on Sarah Rose. So far the surgery went well. They were able to
repair the three holes successfully. Now she is in critical care as they
wait out the next 48 hours that are important to knowing the complete
success of the surgery. Please be praying that Sarah's heart settles down
and it can beat regularly without the help of the drugs or the pace maker.
Please also protect Sarah from getting any infections. They currently left
her incision open to be able to stop any bleeding that may occur. So far her
blood pressure has been stable and her bilireuben is remaining down so
please pray that it remains that way. She also needs to start urinating
again which will be very important to getting rid of all the fluids that she
is taking in. Thank you for your prayers! Lord bless!
April

UPDATE: 1-3-06
I have just received a call from Diane. Sarah Rose did well through the heart surgery. They repaired all three defects. They have not closed the incision as of yet. They will keep her open until they are certain there will be no bleeding. Her vitals are good and she is doing well. Please focus prayers on no infections, no bleeding, and quick removal from the respirator as well as overall healing. Praise the Lord He has brought her through this major surgery and she is on her way to healing.
Diane wants you to know how much they appreciate all of your prayers and support. I will update again as soon as I hear more.....Elizabeth

UPDATE: 1-1-06
5:14PM
We just got a call from the doctor... He is concerned if Sarah might
of had, or had seizure episodes last night. She had a few stiffing
episodes. Someone had given her activent? for agitation (she is on an
order to give this, along with morphine if she shows signs of
aggitation), and this could cause them as well (I wonder if she might
be allergic to some of the stuff she is on? - or if a combination of
drugs could cause this?). They are going to try to schedule an EEG
tomorrow, but don't know if due to the holiday if she will be able to
get one.
Since I am at home - I am continuing to pray that it isn't a cause from
something that they have done to her - accidently (as I have seen many
things already, that have happened, that are of concern). Fear creeps
in (not from God of course) - it is hard to trust the nurses and
doctors for her care - especially when you see mistakes happen on a
daily basis (for example: the transporter that she was in to bring her
down to xray and back up to her room, the oxygen tanks ran out..., or
the 4" of air that were in an IV line - neither nurse flushed the line,
but they both thought it had been done).
I have been having a hard time coping when I am at home, due to things
like this happening - while I had been there. I continue to pray that
the Lord will send a league of angels to watch over her and keep her
safe from harm. I know the Lord loves her more then I - and at this
point I need to remember that, and trust in His loving arms to hold her
and keep her safe.
God's blessings to all of the wonderful prayer warriors!
Diane
2:48PM
The central line has been placed, and is still in the correct position.
Xray's on her heart/lung show no change in heart size from yesterday.
They did up her ventilator settings of BPM to 22 yesterday morning,
from 12 BPM, due to her CO2's being in the 50's and her PH was a little
higher. I don't know if it was due to the stress from the day before,
or not...
Her bilirubin is down again today to 7.8 from 9.5 yesterday - PRAISE
THE LORD! Her direct is down to 7.0 from 8.4 yesterday - PRAISE THE
LORD! She has not had any stools for 2 days, but it could be due to
not eating, with only IV's - not sure...
We are continuing to pray for ALL levels to be STABLE so that her heart
surgery will occur on Tuesday as scheduled. There are a lot of
variables that need to occur so that the surgery will proceed. Several
tests/labs are scheduled over the next 3 days before surgery to make
sure that the surgery can proceed as planned - pray that everything
will be fine!
Thank you for ALL your continued prayers for Sarah!
God Bless,
Diane

UPDATE: 12-31-05
UPDATE: 11:54AM
PRAISE REPORT - THE CENTRAL LINE IS IN... Pray that her potassium
levels will be able to be brought up to normal levels and stay level
before surgery, during, and after! THANKS!
God Bless,
Diane
10:41AM
They are trying to place a central line to feed Sarah MORE nutrition
and get her potassium levels up. If they can't place this line (they
have been having trouble - Sarah is running out of places for an IV and
they can't give enough potassium through a small IV), she won't be able
to have the heart surgery on Tuesday. Her potassium level is at 2.4
and needs to be over 3. The Lasix for her heart is drawing too much
potassium out of her system. They placed her on morphine and paralyzed
her to be able to do this technique. There is RISK involved with
poking through the vein, or lung - pray for protection during this
procedure. The line goes in to her neck and then fed into her atrium
of her heart.
PRAISE REPORT - HER BILIRUBIN IS 1/2 OF WHAT IT WAS YESTERDAY!!!!!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! THEY BELIEVE THAT HER LIVER FAILURE IS DUE TO HER
HEART AND IS NOW TURNING AROUND.
KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL PRAYERS TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN AND OUR WONDERFUL
SAVIOR JESUS!!!
God Bless,
Diane
Update on Sarah:
I talked with the hospital at 11pm. They tried to place a central line
for feedings (twice) - no go so far. They will try again tomorrow.
They also tried to place a perc line - no go... They did place an IV
in her foot - it infiltrated - so it had to be removed. She currently
has another IV in her head (the last one only lasted for a day and
infiltrated as well) - PLEASE pray that an IV will stay so that she can
be FED. She finally has a line into her belly button in an artery for
blood draws, so her heel will not have to be poked anymore - PRAISE THE
LORD!
She is still on room air with 12BPM (on the ventilator) and her CO2's
are good. Her potassium is low, so they are having to increase this
again. Her electrolytes are good and sodium is good. Her vent tube
was incorrectly placed off to the right, was re-adjusted, and we are
praying that it is now in the correct position. X-rays will be done in
the morning (these are taken daily to keep an eye on her heart/lung
stuff), along with other daily blood work.
Thank you for all your continued prayers for Sarah! Pray that she
remains stable from now, until her surgery on Tuesday. Also, that she
will gain some much needed weight.
Our children have come down with the flu, so please pray for protection
for Rik and myself and Sarah!
The surgeon has
operated on trisomy's before, which is nice. He seems to feel
confident about the surgery and the risks involved, so has agreed to
perform the surgery that is necessary. We are continuing to pray that
she will be fine. Sarah is getting progressively worse, so that is why
the surgery has now been scheduled so quickly.
Please pray for much wisdom for the doctors involved, for Sarah to be
protected before, during and after surgery, and that her body will be
made well once the heart issues are resolved.
The Lord is faithful, and we continue to trust Him with our daughter's
life.
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers for our precious daughter!
God Bless,
Diane

UPDATE: 12-29-05
2:29PM
Sarah is scheduled for heart surgery on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Please pray that she remains stable until then, and that recovery will be swift! The will not do any liver surgery until her heart is stronger, and hopefully, it won't be required. Her jaundice ''may'' be related to her heart issues as well, we found out today. Please continue to pray for her bilirubin to go down as it is quite high. They have withheld feedings now - another serious concern due to back leaking into the aorta - something about the stomach might not get enough blood flow and this could cause a life threatening death sentence if it occurs. They will be starting some kind of iv nutrition, instead of the clear fluid stuff, which is known to cause liver problems, which could add to her already compromised liver (it is enlarging due to liver failure, I guess). We are caught between a rock and a hard place betweeen the heart issues and the jaundice issues, so the heart is the best approach to proceed with first. It seems that most of her issues are stemming from her heart failure.
Thank you all for your continued prayers for Sarah! We continue to claim healing on her body in Jesus name, and pray that she will be a mighty witness to God's grace and love!
Blessings to you all!
Diane
p.s. Please pray for the Lord's peace on Sarah's Papa, Rik, as he will be gone (he has to fly to California) leaving the day before surgery, due to his work (it is impossible to reschedule). Also for our 4 young children at home, and myself that scheduling will be able to be worked out so that I will be able to be at the hospital during and after the surgery. Thank you!
From: April for Diane 10:58AM
A Prayer Update on Sarah Rose Stirling!
She is actually going to be scheduled the first of next week for heart surgery. They are planning to fix both holes at once. She will need to remain stable like she is right now so please pray that her potassium and sodium levels remain in good balance. They are possibly going to do an exploratory surgery next week as well on her liver to see what is causing it not to keep the Billy Reuben levels down. If they find the problem they will fix it as well. But if her Billy Reuben comes down before then they won't need to do that surgery at all. So prayer for Billy Reuben to come down Rik and Diane are also currently praying about whetherJwould be even better or not to change Sarah's primary care physician. They are not sure about that one yet. They wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and checking out the website. Lord bless everyone!
April

UPDATE: 12-27-05
Sarah's Billy Reuben is still spiking so they are doing a liver scan at
11:30 am today so please pray if there is something wrong that they can
medicate it and treat it. Please also pray for safety for her while she is
moving to the other floor to have this done. They will need to move her a
number of times because the scan is done numerous times throughout a 24 hour
period. Please also pray that the test is accurate. She also has a heart
consult tomorrow and pray that the Lord would guide the doctors and their
decisions. A couple of Praise Reports though are that her CO2 levels are
good now and the respirator has been able to be turned down a little bit so
that is good too. Thanks everyone and Lord Bless!
April

UPDATE: 12-25-05
Hello,
Thank you SO much for the continued prayers! Sarah is having a very
hard time. She is now on a respirator. Her sodium levels are low, and
her potassium levels are high - they withheld her food today to try to
get these under control. (I don't quite understand with holding food,
as I can only imagine that this will make her weaker - I pray NOT!).
They have IV's running. Her bilirubin levels seem to be going up,
which suggest that her liver and/or gallbladder is blocked, or are
having a hard time with everything as well. She also had less urine
output today - not good.
They will be doing another ultrasound of the heart on Monday, or
Tuesday, along with the liver scan on Tuesday. Please pray for normal
results!
Continued prayer for Sarah to gain strength, weight gain, all digestive
functions to return to normal, that her heart will NOT increase in size
(she will not be a candidate for surgery if it does - hopefully it
hasn't changed so far), that her lungs will clear from the "bug", that
the staph infection in her eyes, etc. will clear, etc., etc,. etc.
Sarah truly needs a miracle from the Lord at this point - her little
body is so weak.
Sarah did seem to rest comfortably last night (they said) - we continue
to pray for time with her, that we will be able to bring her home to be
with her family!
We are also going to check out the heart surgeon in Virginia - I will
be calling on Monday to see about getting her files sent down there -
2nd opinion time - for heart surgery... Please pray that they will
consider her as a candidate to fix her heart and quickly, if the
doctors in MN won't fix it or want to wait too long - which only can
make matters worse.
God Bless,
Diane

UPDATE: 12-24-05
5:30 PM
I just spoke with Diane again. They have ventilated Sarah Rose. She needs focused prayer for her potassium and sodium levels to stablize, for her biliruben counts to be normal, for her lungs to clear and strengthen, for her heart to be healed, for overall healing, and for wisdom and strength of the parents as they make decisions and fight for the care she needs. Pray for the caregivers to have compassion and be willing to do all they can to help her live.
Most of you have been through this with other children we have in our group with Trisomy 18 and you know how difficult it is to get good care and the financial assistance needed so I know you are already taking these needs to the throne of grace and mercy.
Earlier:
Here is the latest and greatest prayer request from this morning! The next
24 hours are very critical on how Sarah is going to do. She is having
episodes of apnea and they have had to bag her to move out of them. Please
pray for her PH to stay up, her CO2 to go down, her infection to heal, her
left lung to open up again and for wisdom for Rik and Diane. She is in the
NICU now as well so she can have more intensive care. At the current
progression they may need to consider a ventilator for Sarah. Thank you
everyone for your vigilance with your prayers for Sarah!
April
I have just gotten off the phone with Diane. Sarah Rose needs God's hand of protection and divine intervention. Parents have to fight so hard to get care for their Trisomy babies. Please think of her often and say a pray each time you do....Elizabeth

UPDATE: 12-23-05
Hi, I did just get a few more details that need prayer:
1. Sarah's lungs need to clear/she has a cold possibly
2. Her infection needs to heal (I think it was a staff infection in her eye)
3. For her Carbon Dioxide levels to go down, they are dangerously high and could cause her to have cardiac failure.
4. Most importantly is for Peace for Rik and Diane and for wisdom for them while they are making decisions.
They have also moved her to the NICU for a higher level of care.

UPDATE: 12-22-05
Here is the latest update email that I have:
I am sorry that I haven't responded sooner. I am currently in the hospital
with our newborn daugther, Sarah, diagnosed with Trisomy 18. I haven't been
home yet since her birth on Dec. 12th. This is the first time that I have
been able to check messages.
I will try to keep everyone updated on prayer requests for Sarah. I do have
a web page through children of promise at:
http://childrenofpromise.net/sarahrose.html
Sarah is having a hard time. It seems that she has caught a cold bug (I
wonder if she got it from me), and it is causing her to have a difficult
time with breathing. I will be trying to keep everyone updated on specific
prayer requests.
We are continuing to pray that the jaundice will go down, that her
liver/gallbladder will function normally, along with her lungs, heart, and
digestive system and NORMAL brain development.
Also, please pray for our family's finances. It seems that Sarah will
probably not quality for MA, or SSI, so it will limit her ability of care.
Keep up the wonderful prayers - I know that the LORD loves Sarah more then I
and that she is in His hands.
Much love,
Diane

UPDATE: 12-21-05
Updated prayer request for Sarah!
She is having a hard time breathing. They have had to give her oxygen periodically. She is scheduled for a nuclear medicine scan on Tuesday, Dec. 27th. She has to be given phenobarbital and something else to help clear out the bile before the test. They then inject a radio active dye for the test itself. Pray for no residual affects from all this stuff.
Sarah is also scheduled for another chest x-ray on Dec. 22nd to check on the size of her heart to see if it is increasing in size. The cardiologist continues to monitor her waiting for serious heart failure signs. When they start, she will then require 2 drugs - 1 to help strengthen the heart and the other is a diuretic to take out extra fluid that will start to build up in the blood and lungs.
We continue to pray for normal liver, gallbladder function, for her cold (or infection) to clear, for her heart (12 mm VSD) to heal, for the pressure in her lungs to stay up (this will keep the pressure in her heart equal, which will keep her off of heart drugs longer), pray for weight gain, normal brain development, I guess - pray for a WONDERFUL HEALING TOUCH FROM OUR LOVING FATHER IN HEAVEN TO HEAL HER WHOLE BODY SO THAT SHE CAN COME HOME AND BE WITH HER FAMILY SOON!
I am really needing much wisdom, peace and strength as I watch the hospital and their care for her. I am fearful at times, knowing that I will not be able to be with her 24/7 and pray that she will get proper care while I am away from her.
She has gained 10 grams in weight for the past 2 days, which is better then losing weight. They hope to have her gain 1 oz. per day, yet 10 grams is better then nothing. Praise God!
Thank you everyone for all your continued prayers for Sarah!
God bless,
Diane

UPDATE: 12-19-05
Attached is a picture of Sarah Rose taken 12/17. What a blessing from the LORD!!!!! She is still very much a weakened little girl, and we ask for prayer support for the following:
Pray for Sarah Rose…
1) That her billiruben count goes down (a platelet count related to jaundice).
2) That her enlarged heart does not go into failure, and that the VSD is healed.
3) That the tight tendons in her hands and fingers relax, and that things in this
area function normally.
4) That her lung functions improve and that she can handle bottling/feeding
while maintaining her oxygen level, and that her lungs are more efficient.
5) That her brain is developing normally.
6) That her eye "infection" (may be pink eye, or a basic infection... doctors are
unclear on the matter) clears up.
7) Patience and wisdom for the Stirling family, and the physicians that are treating
her.
8) That the "horseshoe kidney" diagnosis is non-problematic, and healed as such,
and...
9) That she may take to nursing
Blessings on you all.....

UPDATE: 12-15-05
I just got off the phone with Diane. Her and Sarah are up at the Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. I will do my best to give you a proper update, hopefully my notes are accurate that I took while I was on the phone with Diane. So far Sarah is still off oxygen and breathing well on her own. She is still using a tube in her nose for feeding and will either continue to do that or she will get a tube put directly into her belly which will eventually be changed to a button styled one. In fact the determination about when she comes home from the hospital will be whether they send her home with the tube in her nose or wait until she can have the tube put into her belly. They are waiting on the gastro intestinal doctor for that information. She has nursed a little, but she is really just so tiny that it makes it very hard to do so. Diane is currently pumping regularly so they have some milk to give Sarah. They are currently giving her 20 cc’s of milk every 2 hours and are hoping to keep increasing her amount so that she will only need to be fed every 3 hours. Sarah’s current status is that they are treating her for jaundice and so she has been under the billy lights…but aside from that Sarah is holding her own quite well. She does have a large VSD in her heart but they can’t fix it until she is 2-4 months old and can handle surgery. When babies are first born they don’t have problems dealing with the heart having a hole as long as they keep up good lung pressure. She may need to eventually be on meds to keep that up, but at this point she is doing okay. She doesn’t have a cleft palate and she is holding her own with her body temperature. She does have a long soft spot on her head so they are praying that the plates in her head continue to grow/shift to the right place. Diane also is having troubles with a cold and just keeps praying that it doesn’t get passed to Sarah. Please pray for a quick healing for her too.
Diane did want me to share with all of you a Praise Report in regards to 60 babies that have been saved so far from mothers hearing about Sarah’s story. A friend of Diane’s in Phoenix works at a pregnancy support center and has had the opportunity to share about Sarah to women that have come in and had been planning on aborting their pregnancies. Well, after they heard about Sarah they changed their minds. So Sarah since being conceived has played a role in saving many babies J PTL!
So that is about it! Diane is working on getting a picture to me so once I get it I will send it out to everyone! Lord Bless you all!

Update: 3PM
I just wanted to let you know that they are transferring Sarah Rose to Children's Hospital in the cities today and was wondering if you would send out a big e-mailing again to update for prayer. The biggest needs I can think of right now are prayer for healing in Sarah, Lord's guidance for Rik and Diane, and child care.
Love in Christ,
Michele
We have an update on Sarah Rose. First, Praise God, she does not have all the problems that we had been told she would have. She is Trisomy 18. She is weak and being fed by tube. She is on oxygen at times. Please pray for her lungs to strengthen, for her heart to be strong, and for overall healing. Please pray for Rik and Diane as they will be facing a lot of negativity and will be making some very difficult decisions in the next weeks and months. We will keep you updated.
Your prayers are much appreciated and needed.

UPDATE: 12-12-05
Hi everyone! I just got word that Sarah Rose Stirling was born today at
10:59 am. She is 4 pounds, 10 ounces and is so far doing well. She is at the
moment trying to nurse, so please keep praying that it goes well and she
can. Blessings to everyone and especially to Josh. Congratulations on the
addition of your newest sister!!

UPDATE: 12-11-05
Hello All,
Labor has begun... so tonight/tomorrow will be Sarah's birthday. Rik
and I will soon be heading off to the hospital. Please pray for a safe
and easy delivery for Sarah, and myself. Thank you for your continued
prayers for a complete healing on her life! We continue to pray for a
complete removal of the extra T18 chromosome, that the large VSD in her
heart will close, that her brain will function normally, along with her
lungs, swallowing reflex, nurse well, etc., and that all other symptoms
will be gone! We are praying that her body will function normally and
that she can be a mighty witness for the LORD!
We are trusting the LORD, (for He is good), with her life, however
long, or short it may be! Rik, or I will update you on everything, as
soon as we are able - thank you again for your prayers and encouraging
words throughout my pregnancy.
We will have someone at our facility taking care of everything while we
are gone, so you can rest, knowing that your puppy (if adopting one) is
safe and well taken care of. :)
I apologize if you receive this email more then once, as I might have
you in several different areas of my address books.
God Bless,
Diane and Rik
Diane called to ask for special concentrated prayers for Sarah Rose. She said they expect Sarah Rose to come into the world sometime tonight or tomorrow. I will update you when I hear more. Sarah Rose needs a miracle healing and I know a God who just happens to be in the healing business....how about you?
Merry Christmas,
Elizabeth

UPDATE: 12-6-05
Hi all,
I just spoke with mom Diane, and she said that Sarah Rose is not ready
yet. She is gaining weight, and has a good heartbeat - all good signs!
Please continue to keep this unborn little girl and her mother in your
prayer for complete healing, and for a safe and healthy delivery.
I will update you when I hear more.
God bless,
Grampa Jim

UPDATE: 11-26-05
Sarah was breach 2 weeks ago - she is now head down - Praise the Lord!
(Still head down on Wed. 11/23). I had the webster's technique done by
a Chiropractor, which is supposed to be 90% effective in turning breach
babies around. I am praying that she stays head down now.
Please continue to pray for her complete healing from the T18
chromosome, that the VSD in her heart will close, that all symptoms
will be gone, as her birth is approaching soon. I am praying for an
easy, quick birth - with little stress on Sarah as she arrives.
Thank you so much for all prayers for her!
God Bless,
Diane

UPDATE: 11-15-05
Hello,
I FINALLY had a baby check today (it had been a month - too hard to
schedule with 4 young children, but I decided to finally bring them along
with me and venture out for the 4+ hour day...
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR, UNBORN DAUGHTER, SARAH TO TURN - SHE IS FRANK BREACH... I plan on birthing her breach, or head first, but it would be
nice to have her turn to head down. :) I continue to pray that she doesn't
decide to be sideways, as then they would need to do a C-section.
I am going to see a new chiropractor on Monday to have him adjust me using
the webster technique. I hear this technique is very effective at turning
babies that are breach. Other than that - she always looks so beautiful in
the ultrasound! What a beautiful gift from the LORD!
Continue to pray for the Trisomy 18, (extra 18th chromosome) to be gone,
for her VSD (hole between the ventricles) in her heart to heal, that her
brain would develop normally, be able to breathe, and swallow, and nurse,
and that she that she would put on weight and be healthy! I know this is a
lot of prayers requests, but our GOD is capable of doing anything! We
continue to trust the LORD with her life, and His plans for her!
Thank you for all of your prayers for Sarah!
God Bless,
Diane

UPDATE: 10-14-05
Update on our unborn daughter, Sarah...
I went in for a level 2 ultrasound today (Oct. 13th). I will enclose a
3D photo - Sarah weighs about 3 lb. 1 oz., according to their
measuring, she is about 3 weeks behind. Please pray that she will
continue to gain weight.
The choroid plexus cysts in her brain are gone - praise the Lord! I
saw her fingers on her hand open and close - praise the Lord!
My amniotic fluid is on the high side - pray that she starts to swallow
more fluid, so that my levels return to normal. This can cause
premature delivery, of which would not be good. We continue to pray
for the extra T18 chromosome to be gone, that the VSD will close, that
her brain function, etc. will all be normal, and that she will be able
to breathe, and nurse well when she arrives.
Thank you for all prayers for her!
God Bless,
Diane

ADDED: 9-10-05
Condition=Our unborn daughter has been diagnosed with Trisomy 18. She
is due on Nov. 30th, 2005
Comments:
I thought I would send you a photo of our unborn daughter, Sarah,
taken on 8/17/05. She weighed in at 1 lb. 2 oz. Isn't she
beautiful?! Thank you for all prayers for her! We are continuing to
pray for a complete healing, which includes: that her body will get
rid of the extra 18th chromosome, that the VSD (hole) in her heart
will close, that her brain will develop normally, that her hands will
be able to open and close, that she will be able to nurse, breathe,
etc. She is swallowing amniotic fluid, which is a good sign! We
continue to trust the Lord and pray that His glory will be revealed
through her life!
God Bless,
Rik and Diane
