Greetings,

This letter is intended to address the purpose of the Children of the Promise Ministry and to help you better understand what we do exactly.

Let me first express boldly that this is God's ministry.  He called it into existence and we are only His tools.  He is to receive any and all credit, honor, and glory for what is accomplished for we could do nothing without Him.

We are connected to thousands of warriors around the world and our main ministry is that of intercessory prayer but we don't stop there.  In addition to prayer for our children, we personally visit as many as possible creating a personal relationship with them and their families.  We go to hospitals and wait with, pray with, and encourage parents who oftentimes are far from home with no other friends, family, or clergy to give them support.  Many times these are young adults and sometimes young Christians.  We try to be there and give them the support, encouragement, and prayer that God wants for them and we try to let them know how much God loves them.

The Ministry doesn't stop there.  We will help parents find sources of information to help them make good decisions for their children.  We help them find doctors who will care for their child when they do not have such in their area.  We help them with financial needs and resources.  We supply them with contacts for transportation and flight ministries which help them get their children to the far away hospitals for treatment and care.

We hope to organize church groups who will help us meet the needs of our children and their family by creating cell groups for prayer and encouragement.  You may wonder how this would work.  Well, it is really very simple.  Let's say I have a child in the children's hospital in Virginia.  I would contact our church cell closet to that hospital and they would see that someone was there with that family giving encouragement and praying for that child.  This would cut my expenses greatly as I would not be traveling hundreds of miles to be there and it would also allow for many more children and their families to get the support they need.  We hope to have a 24 hour, toll free prayer/support line and there are many other things we feel God  would like to see accomplished, such as getting your children involved through prayer, sending of cards, handmade gifts, etc.   We love our children and we thank God for allowing us to be part of such a wonderful work for His Glory.
