UPDATE: 1-7-09

Courtney has had a great year. Earlier his year she started her own pet sitting business. She created her own web page and got her license. She's a senior this year and will graduate in June. Pray that the Lord will direct her. She doesn't want to go to college because school has been difficult for her. She has qualified for the Dept. of rehabilitation Services. This organization can place her with an employer and train her. If she does well and likes it she'll have a job. The pet sitting is a little spending money for her.

God Bless,
Connie, Calvin, & Courtney

Note: I have a new picture to post as soon as I get my scanner working.

Elizabeth

UPDATE: 8-13-04

On Monday, we visited with Courtney and her family. Courtney looks great and she is doing well. She is still having some headaches and she needs continued prayer for her vision. Her scans and bloodwork continue to be cancer free and give God praise. We all went to lunch and I learned that Courtney doesn't like salad but does like Chocolate. She is very tiny and I had to ask her where all the food she ate went....lol. We were joined for lunch by her older sister Candance, who is expecting her first child. The entire family is such a delight to be with. Mom, Courtney, and sister all have this beautiful natural curly hair...for which I was very envious.

After lunch we returned to their home and talked and laughed and took pictures AND...I got to see some home videos of Courtney when she was little...We laughed so hard and I had tears from laughing. She was so funny and as now such a total delight and even a little sassy. We got to see mom get a little stressed on video when the newly painted Easter egg ended up on her carpet...LOL... It was so wonderful and we appreciate so much their gifts of love and allowing us to be such a personal part of their family...Elizabeth
